Privacy notice

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This notice explains how Morph Interactive Media Limited (‘Morph’, ‘we’) handles personal data when you visit morph-media.com or contact us. The short version: this website sets no cookies and shows no adverts. It counts page views with GoatCounter, which doesn’t use cookies or store your IP address, so we see how many people visit, not who they are. We only receive personal data if you choose to email us.

Who we are

Morph Interactive Media Limited is the controller of your personal data. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17488637, and our registered office is 84a Queens Road, Buckhurst Hill, England, IG9 5BS. For anything about your data, email joeloe@morph-media.com.

What this website collects

Very little, by design. There are no cookies, no advertising, no tracking across other sites and no embedded third-party content. Fonts, images, video and code are served from this website; the one exception is GoatCounter’s counting script, described below. The brief builder and the LED canvas calculator run entirely in your browser, and nothing you type is sent anywhere. The brief builder only prepares an email in your own email app; nothing is sent unless you send it.

Visit statistics

We count page views with GoatCounter, an open-source analytics service run by Martin Tournoij in Ireland, on servers in Finland and Germany. When a page loads, a small script from GoatCounter sends it the address of the page, the page you came from, your browser and operating system, your screen width and language, and your IP address, which it uses to work out your country. GoatCounter doesn’t set cookies or store your IP address or your browser’s full details, and it doesn’t follow you to other sites. To tell a new visit from a repeat one, it holds a random code linked to your IP address and browser for up to eight hours. The script also reads one setting from your browser’s local storage, which is how we leave our own visits out of the figures.

We use the figures to see which pages people read and how they find the site. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving it. If you’d rather not be counted, open morph-media.com/#toggle-goatcounter in your browser (open it again to undo it), or use a content blocker; the site works the same without the script. GoatCounter’s privacy policy(opens in a new tab) has the details.

Your motion setting

If you switch motion off or on, your browser remembers that choice in its own local storage so the site respects it next time. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. To deliver pages and keep the service secure, GitHub processes technical information such as your IP address in its server logs. We don’t receive or use those logs. GitHub’s privacy statement(opens in a new tab) explains how it handles this data.

When you email us

We use your name, contact details and whatever you include, such as project details, dates and locations, to reply to you, to prepare proposals and quotes, and to deliver and invoice work if we go ahead together. Our lawful bases are our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only where needed to do the job: with our email and IT providers, GoatCounter for visit statistics, our accountants and, with your agreement, the specialist partners or crew we bring in for your project. If a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact. Client and project records are kept for as long as the project needs, then for up to six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, to meet UK tax and company-law obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Email joeloe@morph-media.com and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk(opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If the way this site works changes, we’ll update this notice and the date at the top.
